A Look At The Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens is probably the teams to watch in the NFL. Baltimore Ravens tickets are desired not only by the team’s fans but also by those people who are thinking about watching a great game of football. The Baltimore Ravens was started by Art Modell in 1995 from the Cleveland Browns. The choice to move was faced with a barrage of legal actions which lead to the name being changed to Baltimore Ravens. Following a slew of votes, the name Ravens, from Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven”, was chosen as the team’s name.
The Baltimore Ravens lost during their first 3 years since they started playing under that name. However, come 1999, the sale of the Ravens tickets increased as the people saw the improvement regarding the plays of the team. The new offensive coach, Brian Billick, had his best season that year. Though the team ad a rough start, they were able to end the season with an 8-8 record.
The year 1999 was a preview of what was to come. In year 2000, the defense of the Baltimore Ravens was top-of-the-line. The defense of the team was able to cover for the sometimes poor offense. That year, they also faced the New York Giants in the SuperBowl XXXV. The Baltimore Ravens tickets sales soared as people took part and watched as the Ravens dominated the Giants with a score of 34-7. Those who were lucky enough to have raven tickets that day was privileged to have watched one of the 3 games in Super Bowl were the wild card team won. The Ravens ended the season with 12-4 game with the Super Bowl as their crowning glory.
The Ravens was not able to defend their Super Bowl title th following years. Because of this, the Baltimore Ravens is one of the four teams who managed to snag the Super Bowl win on their only appearance. The injury that Jamal Lewis received early in the season together with the poor offense gave them a 10-6 season.
The 49% of the Ravens’ franchise was awarded to Steve Bisciotti in 2003. Full ownership was awarded to Bisciotti after the season that year. The team had another great year in 2006 where they won 13 of their games, but was followed by a disappointing 5-11 season because of faulty drafting. The team managed to regain a good season the year after with 11 wins and 5 losses.
